Domaine Henri Gouges Les Chaignots 2012

Try elegant wine Nuits-St-Georges 1-er Cru "Les Chaignots",which is produced from a crop with 35-year-old vines of Pinot Noir. Grapes are grown on 6 hectares of excellent vineyard "Le Sheno" belonging to the class of Premiers Crus. The vineyard is located in the northern part appellasona Nuits-Saint-Georges, near the border with the municipality of Vosne-Romanée. The soils in this area consist mainly of gravel and hard limestone interspersed with clay and marl, allowing the wine has a good body, a complex bouquet and excellent tannin basis. Three-level gravitational winery allows vinified "Le Sheno" more delicately. Used for the manufacture of juice only the first extraction, and alcoholic and malolactic fermentation is carried out in barriques than can boast few households. Wine is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, 10-20% of which are updated annually.
